Club Policies and Guidelines
Each Bodyplex is individually owned and operated. The membership plans, rules, and policies on this website are exclusively for Bodyplex Elberton. We recommend checking with your home club regarding rules and policies specific to that location.
We are especially proud of the positive atmosphere and sense of community that has grown here over recent years. Please help us continue that by following some basic gym etiquette:
PROPER CLOTHING and HYGIENE
-
Shirts must be worn at all times in all areas of the gym. Sports bras are acceptable for women.
-
Practice good personal hygiene. If you tend to sweat a lot, bring a towel.
-
Multiple stations with sanitizing wipes are located throughout the gym. Use these to wipe off equipment and benches after use.
-
We are a 100% tobacco-free facility. This includes vaping, dipping, and smoking.
USE OF WEIGHTS and EQUIPMENT
-
Please notify staff of equipment that has malfunctioned. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any equipment.
-
Allow others to work during your rest periods.
-
Do not drop dumbbells, as they can and will break. Do not lift dumbbells that you cannot comfortably set down without dropping.
-
Clean up your weights after you work out: re-rack dumbbells, unload plate-loaded equipment and put plates back in storage. Do not leave weights on the floor.
-
Always use a spotter when attempting maximum weight.
-
Use collars and clips for “free bar” lifting.
-
COURTESY
-
Be courteous when taking phone calls. Remember, others don't care to hear your conversation. Take lengthy calls outside.
-
Use headphones for music or workout videos.
-
Respect the personal space of others. Don’t interrupt someone’s workout to start a conversation.
-
Our staff works diligently to ensure that the club is clean and running smoothly. Disrespect or rude behavior towards them will not be tolerated.
-
No outside personal training is allowed in our facility. Any personal training must be conducted by Bodyplex staff trainers.
SAFETY and SECURITY
-
Because we want our members to feel comfortable using the club 24/7, we take security very seriously. Non-members are not allowed in the club after staffed hours. Any member bringing in a non-member after hours is at risk of losing their membership.
-
Do not open the door for someone who does not have a working barcode.
-
Harassment and unwanted attention toward other members will not be tolerated.
-
For liability reasons, children are not allowed on the gym floor and cannot be left unattended in the lobby. Please plan for their care prior to visiting the club.
-
We are here to help you reach your fitness goals and provide you with a safe workout environment. Please let us know if you have any questions or recommendations on how we can best serve your needs.
